Shepherd’s Pie with Mashed Cauliflower

Instead of using mashed potatoes we are replacing them with 0 Points Cauliflower! Yummy! Very filling and very satisfying!

  • 2 Tbls. Sour Cream(1 PP) or Greek Yogurt (0 PP)
  • 1/8 Block of Fat-Free Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. Powered Ginger
  • 2 tsps. Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt.
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbls Olive Oil
  • 1lb 95% Lean Ground Beef or Ground Turkey Breast
  • 1 pckg of Cauliflower
  • 1 cp. Baby Portobella Mushrooms, Diced
  • 1 cp. Onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbls. Parsley, chopped
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic, minced
  • 1 cp. Peas (frozen preferred)


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Steam cauliflower until mushy
  3. Use a blender to blend the cauliflower, salt, pepper, 1 clove of minced garlic
  4. Add sour cream to cauliflower mixture, and blend. Then add the Cream Cheese, and blend.
  5. Heat oil in a saute pan. Toss in onions and mushrooms, with some salt & pepper, ginger,and the other clove of garlic.
  6. Cook until onions are translucent (about 5-6 mins)
  7. Add ground meat to the pan of onions and mushrooms, and add the Worcestershire suace to the meat.
  8. Cook until the meat is no longer pink
  9. In an 8″ baking dish, place meat mixture, gently stir in peas. Top mixture with the mashed cauliflower.
  10. Cover and place in oven for 20-30 mins. You can then place it under the broiler with the foil removed, for 2-3 mins (keep a close eye) to brown the top of the cauliflower.
